Choose the Right Pressure Switch for Your Pump

A mechanical pressure switch is a critical accessory to control the automatic start and stop of your water pump based on pressure levels in your system. At Pump Supermarket, we stock a wide range of high-quality mechanical pressure switches to suit various pumping systems.

Note: Pressure switches cannot be purchased separately. They are only available as accessories when buying a pump.

✅ Important Factors When Choosing a Pressure Switch

To ensure you select the correct model, please review the following details and compare them to your pump and system requirements:

1. Pressure Range (Adjustable)

Our pressure switches are available in six different pressure ranges, each allowing adjustment of both the cut-in (minimum) and cut-out (maximum) pressure.

• Choose a range that suits the operating pressure of your pump.

• Pressure ranges are clearly outlined in our Pressure Switch Table (scroll down).

2. Certification Options: UL or CE

All models are certified under one of two global standards:

• UL Certified – Suitable for North American compliance

• CE Certified – Suitable for European compliance and international use

3. Connection Type and Thread Options

Each pressure switch comes in:

• Connection Types: Male or Female

• Thread Sizes: 1/4” or 3/8”

• Thread Standards: NPT (American) or G (British)

4. Model Variants – PC-2 and PC-2A

In addition to the standard pressure switch, we also offer the A2 model, giving you more control over your system:

• PC-2: Standard pressure switch without manual cutoff

• PC-2A: Includes manual cutoff switch for added safety and control

The PC-2A model allows the user to manually turn off the pump when needed, ideal for maintenance or emergency shutoff.
